Reaching high - New universal testing machine for static and dynamic stress

Within the scope of research and development, not only standardized samples are tested, but also parts and components. Especially in the case of component testing, the test specimens can often have very different sizes. This presents the testing technology with a challenge in order to have the necessary test space available when the piston stroke is available.

To solve this task, the UP 500 AK-2DH was developed with an infinitely adjustable test area.

This is first of all the case with all testing machines with hydraulic clamping and adjustment from FORM+TEST. The special feature in this case is that the test area can be infinitely adjusted between 100 mm and 4000 mm via a spindle drive.

The testing machine is equipped with hydraulic parallel clamping heads with special jaws for carbon fiber materials and pressure plates for dynamic tests with test frequencies of up to 20 Hz.

The DIGIMAXX C30  electronic control system offers the necessary performance for control and measurement data acquisition in conjunction with the "PROTEUS" testing software. 

In order to correctly implement the high demands on the testing technology, the direct coordination between the institute of the TU Darmstadt and FORM+TEST led to success
